[Do you know what a wind user does in the rain? She kicks up one hell of a localized storm just outside the village. She's no waterbender, but she's seeing if she can concentrate enough on those gusts of wind to send the water in whatever direction she deems necessary.
It's not all that productive -- after all, raindrops aren't the best weapon -- but focusing on her control is always good training.
Besides, she's just happy to play in the rain.
Later, she'll be found wandering the village, soaking wet and not going in any particular direction. She might stop in the bakery for something sweet and she'll be popping into Good Spirits a little later for something bracing to drink.
She'll even address the village at large, via an unfiltered message in the journal:]
I love the rain.
[So sue her. She's actually in a good mood.]

[Whereas he's picking up the theory behind it much quicker now. It will come in handy later, the next time he's out here practicing wind magic.]
[Action]
Why are you working with the spirits here?
[Action]
Easier to learn magic than it is a few jutsu.
[I need all the advantage I can get.]

[She'll have him telling her what he really wants out of it.]

Not many places where you can learn to use so many elements in one place though, is there? Even back home most people can only manage the element their chakra's geared towards, or a second after years of training.
[He pops his neck.] It's all too troublesome for me. And since I'd probably never get it down anyways, I'm content with this.
[Action]
So... your curiosity trumps any sort of trouble it would cause you. [A beat.] Somehow I find it hard to believe that working with all the spirits here is somehow less troublesome than working on your own techniques.

[The rain is starting to come down harder now, and he squints up to see the clouds darkening to an angry gray overhead.]
Following that line of thought: I think I'm gonna call it a day on training.
[Action]
[Except it is, and she'll follow suit soon enough.]
[Action]
[Have a lazy salute and half of a fond smirk.] Later, troublesome woman.
