[Temari can be found trying to stick to her normal schedule as much as possible: a morning run, tending to the plants she has adopted throughout the village -- inside and out -- and training into the early evening near the barracks.

Zuko is also sticking to normal schedule: up early, mid-morning fire-bending, lunch in the square, and off to work at the Teahouse.

Alexis will be in the grocery store, picking up a few things for a picnic lunch and snacks. She's people-watching in the center of town and eventually will be moving toward one of the bridges. Eating. Watching people. Hoping to see someone she recognizes.]

[There's a statue outside the Teahouse. Perfectly innocent. Really.]

... oh dear. XD

[... Huh, a statue outside the Teahouse.

We're just gonna stare at that for a minute.]

[The statue very suspiciously fails to move.

What now?]

[Must be just a statue then. Who's idea was this one? Zuko sighs, shakes his head, and... looks down at the journal in his hands. He should check this thing before he starts to work.]

Only when you next look up, the statue is just inside the door.]

[It's a statue, of course. Haven't you ever seen one before?]

[Well, yeah. Just not one that up and moves when you're not looking.]

Uhm. Hey?

[Yeah, he's trying to talk to it.]

[That's kind of cute. But no response.]

Zuko please~

[While Zuko's out and about doing his morning routine he might spot Sabriel amidst a small patch of trees standing stock still with a bell in hand and covered in a thin layer of ice. She's not frozen, don't worry, her spirit has just slipped into the realm of Death to make sure she has not been followed by anything unpleasant.]

[And spot her he does. At first he doesn't pay much attention to her until the light catches that sheen of ice. He stops in his path and almost hesitantly makes his way over.

Okay. Frozen girl. That's... different. So he tries the most logical thing he can: talking to her.]

Hey. Uhm. You okay?

[Zuko'll only get the steady issue of mist from her lips in response, Sabriel having not heard him while her spirit is away. In Death she senses something, or someone close to her body and turns to rush back, reaching back towards the barrier between Life and Death until...]

A...ACHOO!

[With a crackle of breaking ice she sneezes, shivering and brushing the bits of icicles away from her face. It'll take her a moment before she actually notices Zuko.]

[Ooookay, that's a little weird. He's just going to repeat his question.] You okay?

[At the sudden question she almost jumps, hand tight around her bell before she relaxes and tucks it away into her bandolier. It's only a young man and since he was quite alive, nothing to be worried about.] Oh- Yes, I'm fine, I was just making sure I wasn't followed. Forgive me if I startled you.

You couldn't just look behind you?

You are not from the North I see. [She murmurs to herself before shaking her head.] I'm talking about the Dead.

[action - Temari]

[myosotis]

[Would you like some normalcy on your morning run? San is hunting and trying to stay AWAY from all the noise in the village.]

[action - Temari]

[dangerouswind]

[Normalcy's awesome, San. Temari will glance in her direction and take to the trees. Come on, girl. Keep up.]

[action - Temari]

[myosotis]

[Is that...an invitation? San's eyebrows lift in a very human gesture of surprise.

...And acceptance. She can track you like a squirrel, ninja. Following on the ground will be easy.]

[action - Temari]

[Oh, yes. It's an invitation. Temari sees you down there, San. She's just gonna put on a burst of speed; might as well sprint, right?

Or, well, if one can really call jumping from branch to branch a sprint.]

[action - Temari]

[myosotis]

[Temari can cover more ground (so to speak) that way; San has to start running, too. Keeping an eye on her and an eye on the ground isn't going to be easy.

...This is okay.

Let's see if a wolf can't keep up with a ninja.]

[action - Temari]

[Let's see indeed.

Temari keeps up the pace for a minute before she abruptly turns back on herself -- then cuts off to the left as she takes to the ground.]

[action - Temari]

[myosotis]

[San didn't move until she heard her hit the ground; a sharp turn and she's off in that direction, too. No prey is absolutely silent on last year's fallen leaves...

Not that she's ever hunted a ninja before.]

[action - Temari]

[Temari is more interesting in speed than stealth. The joy is in the running; it's exhilarating. After a few moments, she settles into a run that's a little slower. If San would like to catch up, now's the time.]

[action - Temari]

[myosotis]

[Oh yes San would. She's come around to one side, using the undergrowth as a cover. Most things on the forest floor she just doesn't think of as obstacles, the way most people might.

So at a sprint, she's rushing Temari from one side. A hunt isn't a hunt if you can't ultimately catch the prey.]

[action - Temari]

[Temari's been watching for her, tracking her as best she can, and she's no slouch. As soon as she sees San, she puts on a burst of speed.]

[action - Temari]

[myosotis]

[Ooh.

Unfair. Cheater.

San just picks up speed in response. She's not really a sprinter - more of a tireless while moving at a pace sort of runner - but for a short burst she can do it.]

[action - Temari]

[Ninja. Of course she cheats. But Temari can't keep up a sprint forever. She'll alight on a log and stop, grinning at San. Nice run.]

[action - Temari]

[San stops, too, staring at her expression. Temari's lucky she didn't just get tackled.]

[Oh, tackling would have been a fun way to start a fight.]
