A fleeting shadow, the feeling of eyes following your every move, the feeling that you can't shake a follower. You know the one. It makes the hair at the nape of your neck stand on end. Makes you paranoid and jumpy. Or maybe just amused. Annoyed. Whatever it does, it's there.

Temari's not trying too hard to stay unseen. It's less training and more something to do. You might turn around and see a ninja standing behind you. Maybe she's touching down next to you. Maybe you're attacking. (She won't like that much, to be honest, but maybe that's how you respond to being watched.)

Cayla makes a mental note to upgrade her medication dosage. She's in the forest, returning to CH6 after a trying dance session in the battledome, and she swears it's like she's being followed. Shadows seem to twist unnaturally in the corner of her eye, and the branches above her seem to arch and sway a little more than the wind could cause.

So she's going to turn around, just to make absolutely certain there is no one behind her. For good or for ill, there is.]

[She's standing there as if she hasn't a care in the world.] Afternoon.

[Estelle isn't expecting it to look like rain again, so she grumbles to herself when it seems like there's going to be an unexpected shower. But being closer to the center the village, it's easier to take a shortcut. She ducks through a path in the trees instead of following the road like usual to her house.

But realizing there's someone on her tail is the sort of thing that Joshua is a whole lot better at. She almost dismisses it as something odd about the weather, though for a moment she glances over her shoulder just once. It's almost when she's back to the house that she jumps as someone lands nearly at her side.]

GYAAAH!

[Frankly, Temari expected a few such reactions. She dusts off her clothing, rolls her neck, and offers the girl a quick wave.] Hello.

[Gasp for breath. Recover some dignity. Estelle clasps a hand over her chest and realizes that maybe she miiight have over reacted to that. Maybe.

She stares at the girl and then heaves a sigh.]

Don't scare me like that!

[Marco is out returning books, getting groceries, occasionally whistling to birds. He plays this game for a bit, wherein he turns around only to turn back as if nothing was out of the ordinary. After about three times though he finally pipes up.] You know I'm a lot more interesting to talk to than watch. Believe it or not.

[Oh, caught. How fun. Temari leaps down to land beside him.] Oh, I dunno. I'll be the judge of that.

Your optimism in my conversational prowess flatters me. [Kind of the opposite, but he says it with deadpan aplomb.] Marco. [Offers a handshake.]

[ Natsuno's out on one of the paths in the forest - it's nice to just walk there and clear his head a little as he goes, really. Except then there's this feeling he knows very, very well, this feeling of being followed where he goes (not to mention his enhanced senses only make it worse and more obvious), and it eerily reminds him of Megumi. For a moment it's enough to make the hairs in his neck stand on edge from the familiarity of the feeling, but then he sharply turns around to find Temari standing there.

... Geez, what's up with girls and stalking? He frowns a little. ]

[Temari's there, arms crossed and giving him a speculative look.] Nothing, really.

[Robin has a bit of a history in being followed, seen or unseen, and she doesn't particularly care for it. Even in Luceti. Especially in Luceti. She remains still at the fringes of the forest but you might see eyes blossoming in different trees. You might even see one looking straight at you.]

[Oh, now this is fun. Temari catches the eyes on her and grins. A challenge is always nice, but Temari isn't in the mood to try to hide. She drops to the ground without a sound and waits there.]

[Luceti is still new enough to Neji that he's twitchy about his surroundings; he's not going to put up with being followed, and at jounin, he's good at noticing when it's happening. So Temari won't get far with tracking him before he stops and turns toward her.]

Can I help you? [Spoken with heavy irony.]

[Hey, he caught her eye; what can she say? She's not trying too terribly hard to be invisible. She's mostly bored and people watching and feeling somewhat mischievous. She steps out of the shadows, arms crossed, and gives him a once-over.

Well, would you look at that. More Konoha nin cluttering up the place.] You're new.

[She may not be a ninja, but Rue is out climbing trees. She moves swiftly and silently, leaping from branch to branch, swinging herself up to higher ones. She's like a squirrel or a bird as she moves around, stopping to perch up on a branch to enjoy the view. There's no real purpose beyond a bit of fun and keeping her skills sharp. It's a nice village, but it's still a game, and if the Malnosso send their droids, she needs to be ready to run.

When she feels the feeling of being watched, she stiffens up slightly, carefully glancing around.]

[Admittedly, her curiosity is roused by someone moving through the trees that way. Temari is perched on a branch, leaning against the trunk of a large tree and grins a little when the woman starts looking around.

Good enough, Luceti. It seems not everyone is oblivious. Temari moves quickly, quietly, around behind the woman.]

[Czes does not like to be stalked.

Oh no. That is not something he likes at all. And he knows a pair of eyes are set on him and someone's been following him around. So he stops on his way back to his building and turns a little to look back at his shadow]

Staring isn't polite, you know.

[Temari moves out of the shadows, allowing herself to be seen, arms crossed and brow raised.] Etiquette is the least my concerns.

[ Not even looking behind her. After living close to her for awhile, and, after experiencing that humiliating defeat way back in the day, there's no way Tenten would ever forget her or her face. Her tone is dry, and, even bored, as she just calls Temari out. ]

[Temari's strolling along casually by now, hands clasped behind her.] It's a nice afternoon.

[Temari stops at the note, pulling it from the tree with a laugh. Well-played. Well-played indeed. She strolls a little deeper into the forest and takes to the trees after a moment.

[ For the most part, he lets her tail him. He's not all that concerned, and he figures if whoever was following him meant any harm, they would do a much better job hiding themselves.

It wasn't like he was doing anything interesting, anyway. So gathering intel on him would be pretty pointless...He casually glances behind him, curious, and manages to catch a glimpse of his pursuer. ]

You've gotten rusty. [ He stops, glancing back at her again. ] Assuming you're trying your best to stay hidden, of course.

[She shrugs as she steps around the corner.] That would be quite the assumption. People-watching, for the most part. If I didn't want you to find me, you wouldn't. [It's said with an easy air of confidence.]
