[There's nothing much on the page. Temari only taps her pen against the paper -- dot, dot, dot -- for several long moments before she finally writes something.] Tell me: Is family still family when they are worlds apart?

[Perhaps a little introspective for her normal tastes and somewhat revealing to her mental state, but... Well. She'll take a few outside opinions this time. Some days she just misses her brothers. This evening, it's particularly sharp. That, and she's tired. A bit sore. Unwilling to walk back to the apartment just yet. All in all, it doesn't make for a good mood, after being gone for so long. She's not even sure how long it has been.]

[She doesn't go home after returning to the village: she finds some clean clothes in the shop, forgoes food entirely, and instead wraps herself in a good coat she found and takes a slow walk as night falls. She'll be all over town, eventually easing toward the edges of the forest. (Yes, at night. In the cold. It's probably not the smartest plan.)]

[Wait...wait, this maiden is completely wrong.]

That is good. I am also in no mood to argue. :-)

I am afraid you are seeing this the wrong way. They would notice you have disappeared since you are here and not with them, you see? And since they are your loved ones, your family, they will search for you when they notice you are not returning.

So that is why they will always be your family.

That is odd indeed.

Still...that leaves a very important question: do you wish to remember being a test subject for scientists after you have arrived back home?

[He likes that sentiment a lot and nods behind his journal before writing a message back.]

Me neither. But I figure that the Malnosso are not very fond of us reminding. After all, they are able to defy death and bring someone back to life. They can curse them or reward a person, you see?

[A bit later a second message arrives.]

So your family remains your family, wherever they are.

:-)

[This pleases Loki because he likes it when people agree with him, and hey, he has actually been sincere about this. It should be very accurate to call this one of those double whammy-situations.]

I excel at pointing out the importance of one's loved ones. And not forgetting them. And the subject of love, friendship and peace in general. :-D

[Not entirely, but Loki just has a lot of things to tell about such matters.]

Disturbingly? There is nothing really disturbing about my most positive outlook on things.

That is truly a poor choice of words. As if it is something really bad.

I am optimistic but not in a disturbing way. I am not there.
