[She's muttering to herself here. What the journal picks up will be quiet and somewhat disjointed -- and definitely irritated.] Some kind of communications device, then. It seems a bit... bulky. I wonder... [Pause. There's a rhythmic tapping for a few moments.] Damn it.

[The sound of pages rustling. She clears her throat then and speaks loudly and forcefully.] Luceti. I've never heard of it. There's some sort of guide floating around that I've taken a look at, but I want to hear it from someone personally. Just why have I been brought here?

I have questions that need answered. It would be very much appreciated if someone would step up and start talking.

Start answering, or I start leveling the forest. [There's a pause and then a muttered:] If anyone even cares about the forest. Where the hell is this place? [It's obvious now that she's talking to herself. Journal? What journal?] Definitely not the cave I left. Nowhere near it; the place didn't look a thing like this.

[She trails off, muttering once in awhile about not knowing of anyone in the Bingo Book that can do something like this and about illusions cast before she abruptly cuts herself off. Right. Journal. Recording. She huffs.]

Damn it.

[End transmission.]

[And yet he feels better. ^_^

Starting in the direction of the village.]
I'll just put some distance between myself and your feet then.

Oh shut up.

[And without another word, she falls into step.]

[He smirks, but he'll do just that. It's actually easy to do - more people showing up here from his world... It's not something he's happy to see.

He takes to the trees, trusting she'll follow.]
Chouji explain things to you?

[She does; moving through the trees is actually... nice. It's familiar enough to take her mind off the incessant ache in her shoulders.]

Welcome to Luceti, blah blah blah. Find a place to stay, take what you need, don't destroy the forest. Blah. Blah. Blah.

[Unimpressed. She's definitely that.]

I want my fan first.

Tch. You'll get it soon enough. If you have any other questions though, might as well ask them now. It's not exactly a quick jaunt back to the village.

Material needs seem pretty well taken care of. I'm more concerned about why I'm here than how I'll survive here.

That's something I haven't been able to get a straight answer on. The blanket answer seems to be that people are just drawn to this world, the Malnosso included.

Oh, that's nice to know. Chouji mentioned experiments. What's that all about? [Do not like the sound of that, not in the least. If these people can add limbs...]

Every once in a while, those Malnosso guys will do an experiment on the villagers. Seems to effect most people, but not always all of them. It's not always obvious what they plan to get from it. The first one I was here for, people were randomly teleporting all over the place.

The second... [Yeah. Halloween sucked.] Let's just say it was less pleasant. Whoever was in charge of that one had more sinister intentions with what they were doing.

[Give her a second to process that, Shikamaru. She's thinking it over and, no matter what avenue her mind takes, she ends up hitting a brick wall.]

So it could be as harmless as simply being in a place you didn't expect. [Not that that was necessarily always harmless; Temari could think of a dozen different ways one could appear somewhere and immediately have problems of the life-threatening kind.

Her gaze cuts to Shikamaru then, eyes narrowed.]
Or something more sinister. And we don't know why.

It's too inconsistent to make a good guess.

When they're not experimenting on people though, there's a section that tries to work with the villagers more. People seem quicker to trust them. [Oddly enough. Yeah, can you tell he's unimpressed with the idea?]
